PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating lever for opening and closing of a cover of a double container capable of restraining rattling of the operating lever for opening and closing of the cover, preventing a lock member from being placed in an unlocked state by mistake and securing reliability of locking and its unlocking. SOLUTION: An operating lever 9 for opening and closing of a cover of a double container is axially supported free to revolve against the cover 2. An engagement piece to be engaged with a lateral shaft provided on a case body 1 or to be separated from it in accordance with revolution of the operating lever 9 for opening and closing of the cover is provided. A lock member 13 free to revolve or free to control not to revolve the cover 2 or the operating lever 9 for opening and closing of the cover is provided on the cover 2 or the operating lever 9 for opening and closing of the cover. The lock member 13 has a fitting part and is provided free to move in the vertical direction pn the side surface side of the cover 2 or the operating lever 9 for opening and closing of the cover. A fitted part to be fitted on the fitting part is provided on one of the cover 2, the case body 1 and the operating lever 9 for opening and closing of the cover. The operating lever 9 for opening and closing of the cover becomes unable to revolve as the fitting part and the fitted part are fitted on and in each other.
