PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary lock for a sash harder to remove and higher in safety with one of it than in the case of installing two of it. SOLUTION: It is possible to provide larger fixing strength than in a case of separately installing two of auxiliary locks for sashes having a pair of lock plates 2 in one row each by providing two pairs of the lock plates 2 facing each other in parallel on a lower surface of a case 1 concerning the auxiliary lock for the sash to prevent opening of a window by having a pair of the lock plates 2 facing each other on the lower surface of the case 1, providing at least one of the lock plates 2 out of a pair of the lock plates 2 coming into contact with and being separated from the other lock plate 2, providing a movable thumbscrew to move the lock plates 2 on an upper surface of the case 1 and fixing a pair of the lock plates 2 by stretching them against a groove part between a widow frame on the indoor side and a stile or against a groove part between a window frame A and a flashing such of a stile B by operating this movable thumbscrew.
