PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air purifier having an absorbing filter upon which light shines equally and high efficiency for dissolving odor compositions. SOLUTION: An air purifier has a casing having a light-catalyst filter 3 holding a light-catalyst for dissolving odor compositions, a paraboloidal mirror 4, a mercury lamp 5 which is disposed at a focus of the paraboloidal mirror 4, has a round valve cross-section, and emits ultraviolet rays, and an inner spherical mirror 6 which has a circular arc surface in which the mercury lamp 5 is positioned at a center of the circular arc and which reflects the ultraviolet rays emitted by the mercury lamp 5 to a direction of the paraboloidal mirror 4. The ultraviolet rays from the mercury lamp 5 are reflected at the paraboloidal mirror 4 to a direction of the light catalyst filter 3 to be parallel light beams.
