PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate working machine to prevent an accident by detecting a position of a clamp beforehand and stopping in emergency a carriage before colliding to an adjacent clamp when a clamp mounting position on the carriage is changed with using a clamp positioner. SOLUTION: The mounting positions of clamps 104A, 104B, 104C for a carriage 103 are made changeable through clamp positioners 120, abutting members 130 are arranged to the side faces of the clamps 104A, 104B, 104C, further, touch sensors 133 protruding from the abutting members 130 are extendably and contractably arranged thereto.
