PURPOSE: A transflective liquid crystal display(LCD) is provided to increase the reflectance in reflective mode and the transmittance in transmissive mode by using a transflective film. CONSTITUTION: A transflective film(106) is interposed between a backlight(108) and a lower plate(140). The transflective film(106) is formed as a compound of reflective material(Ar,Al) and transmissive material(acryl resin). In reflective mode, an external light(132) is reflected by a reflective electrode(102). The external light(132) passing though a hole(103) formed inside the reflective electrode(102) is also reflected by the transflective film(106) toward an upper plate(112). The reflective region is the sum of area(S) of the reflective electrode(102) and area(delta L) of the hole(103). In transmissive mode, a backlight light(103) of a backlight(108) transmits a pixel electrode(104) covering the hole(103). Therefore, it is possible to increase the reflectance in reflective mode.
