PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric air blower having a centrifugal type impeller low in cost, highly efficient and low in noise and an electric cleaner on which the air blower is installed. SOLUTION: A centrifugal impeller is devised to fasten the impeller and an axis of rotation by using a screw member 44 having a horn type shape and so that a channel cross-section contraction percentage of an inlet curved part to be decided by the screw member 44 becomes larger toward the latter half pf the channel. Consequently, a flow is effectively contracted in the latter half of the curved channel where the flow becomes easier to be peeled, development of a boundary layer is restrained and fluid loss and noise are reduced.
