PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-switch type knob where a pictorial symbol formed on the knob can be recognized instantly, regardless of the viewing angle during running at night and each knob can be classified. SOLUTION: This push-switch type knob comprises an illumination opaque material 10 forming a design surface 11 and having through-grooves 12, and an illumination transmission material 20 that is formed on the rear side of the illumination opaque material 10 and partially goes into the through grooves 12 in the illumination opaque material 10, and is arranged facing to a light source bulb 30. At least part of the portion of the illumination transmission material 20 that goes into the through-grooves 12 in the illumination opaque material 10 projects more to the front side than the surface of the design surface 11 of the illumination opaque material 10.
