PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small chuck capable of corresponding to an eccentricity or the like of a grasping part when grasping a work supported at both centers. SOLUTION: When a piston 9 is advanced, a plunger 5 is advanced via a spring seat 8 and a disc spring 7. The plunger 5 and a chuck jaw 2 are engaged by an obliquely provided guide means 2a and 5a, and the jaw 2 moves toward a chuck center and grasps a work with a clamp pawl 3. By this, even if there is an eccentricity or the like in a grasping part of the work, a difference of force of each clamp pawl 3 pressurizing the grasping part is reduced by the disc spring 7.
