PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing time and the load of an operator by unifying corporate form names into abbreviated names in an OCR exchange centralized processing system. SOLUTION: This OCR centralized processing system converts a corporate form name into a prescribed abbreviated name on the basis of a conversion table when an input client 4 and a verify client 5 input a client name and a receiver name, and compares corporate form names converted into prescribed abbreviated names with each other to decide whether they coincide with each other about the corporate form names when data inputted by the client 5 is compared with data inputted by the client 5, based on image data obtained by reading an exchange slip by an OCR device 1.
