A high-voltage transformer (20) for a microwave oven includes a core (21, 23) and primary and secondary coils. A moulded insulator (45, 73) encloses at least part of the secondary coil (41) and has a sensor accommodation portion formed therein (47, 75). A temperature sensor (43) is accommodated in the temperature accommodation portion to measure the temperature of the secondary coil. The sensor accommodating portion may be formed inside the moulded insulator together with the sensor or outside the moulded insulator in a pocket shape. In either configuration, the temperature sensor may be optimally positioned, thereby improving the accuracy of the temperature sensor. Furthermore, repair and replacement of the temperature sensor is easy. |
