A thrust generating device for flying objects such as aircraft and rocket and moving bodies such as ships and cars, or a thrust generating device capable of being used as a power source for construction equipment which is, unlike a conventional thrust generating device based on so-called the action and reaction by the Newton's third law, based on a new principle, wherein one or a plurality of rotating motion mechanisms are provided on the same object and each rotating motion pattern is controlled so as to generate a propelling force in any direction, the rotating motion mechanisms are so designed that a weight is fixed to the other end part of a rod having one end pivotted rotatably, and a distance between the pivotally supported part and the weight is varied according to the rotation so as to produce a desired rotating motion pattern; and a moving body having the thrust generating device thereon.
