PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability and function of a coastal block by installing a luminant on the external surface of a resin molding, and arranging a reinforcing portion in a hollow interior of the molding. SOLUTION: The coastal block is constructed by embedding a solar battery in an upper surface of an almost prismatic molding 1, forming a bolt insertion hole 3 in the same, embedding a reflector 4 on a front side, for reflecting irradiation with light or the like of a vehicle, and installing an LED 5 on the reflector 4, for being easily visually identified at night, which LED is fed by the solar battery. The interior of the molding 1 is rendered hollow, in which a reinforcing portion formed of a reinforcing rib is provided at a required location. When the coastal block is fixed on a road surface, a bolt 9 is inserted into the hole 3 to be screwed in a nut 10 embedded in the road surface beforehand. Then, a resin cap 13 is fitted on a head of the bolt 9, and a sealer 14 is fitted in the hole 3, to thereby prevent seawater, dust, etc., from infiltrating the same. Thus, the weight of the coastal block can be reduced and attachment/detachment of the same is facilitated. Further, the durability and visibility at night can be enhanced.
