PURPOSE: A PDP(Plasma Display Panel) having sustain electrode structure increasing positive column discharge region is provided to utilize positive column in luminescing because the distance between the electrodes is long while maintaining the discharge voltage low. CONSTITUTION: A PDP(Plasma Display Panel) having sustain electrode structure increasing positive column discharge region comprises a glass substrate, the transparent discharge sustain electrode, a bus electrode and a whole surface plate. The transparent discharge sustain electrode is formed on the glass substrate and has the discharge beginning parts(AX,AY) and the discharge maintenance parts(BX,BY) connected to the discharge beginning parts(AX,AY). The area of the discharge maintenance parts(BX,BY) are wider than the area of the discharge beginning parts(AX,AY). The bus electrode is lined with the transparent discharge sustain electrode and overlaps with the discharge maintenance parts(BX,BY). The whole surface plate includes a transparent dielectric layer covering the bus electrode. |
