摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming material having high sensitivity, high resolution and high wear resistance, not causing stain due to a flaw and capable of heat-mode recording by disposing a layer containing photothermal transducing particles obtained by coating the surface of a core material with materials including a photothermal transducing material on a substrate. SOLUTION: The image forming material has a layer containing photothermal transducing particles obtained by coating the surface of a core material with materials including a photothermal transducing material on the substrate. Particles of any of inorganic and organic materials may be used as the core material of the photothermal transducing particles and particles of two or more different materials may also be used. The inorganic material may be an ordinary metal oxide such as silica, alumina or an aluminosilicate and the organic particles may be an ordinary crosslinked resin such as nylon, PMMA or silicone. A material having a function to transduce IR to heat, that is, having absorption in the IR region may be used as the photothermal transducing material.
