The invention relates to a feed device for teeth (21) which forms part of a device for connecting a saw-blade base body to teeth (22, 23) that are subdivided into a metallic and a non-metallic material area (25, 26). The feed device for teeth (21) is configured from a transport device (24) for the teeth (22, 23) and a sensor (28). Said sensor is located in the area of the transport device (24) and is provided in order to identify the alignment of a material area (25, 26) of a tooth (22, 23) in relation to the direction of conveyance (27) of the teeth (22, 23). Elements for removing or changing the position of incorrectly aligned teeth (22, 23) prevent their transport to the saw-blade base body. Teeth (22, 23) which are uniformly aligned in relation to the material area (25, 26) are fed to the saw-blade base body.
