NON-HALOGEN FLAME-RETARDED RESIN COMPOSITION, AND INCLUSION AND FLAME-RETARDED WIRE AND CABLE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-halogen flame-retarded resin composition free from a halogen, highly flame-retardant and excellent in mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: This non-halogen flame-retarded resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a polyolefinic resin having incorporated therewith at least 35 pts.wt. and not more than 155 pts.wt. of a metal hydroxide and at least 10 pts.wt. and not more than 45 pts.wt. of hydrotalcite. There is also provided an inclusion comprising this resin composition. The flame-retarded wire and cable are obtained by employing this resin composition as a covering material for a wire and cable or as an inclusion material on a stranded core wire.
