PURPOSE: A structure of holding electrode in a PDP(Plasma Display Panel) is provided to lower discharge voltage of the PDP while not losing intensity and illuminating efficiency. CONSTITUTION: Discharge voltage is applied to a transparent electrode(100). Wall charge is formed on a dielectric layer on the electrode. The voltage is induced to a floating electrode(110) for inducing discharge between the electrodes. Herein, a smaller amount of charge is formed in the floating electrode, because the electrode is not connected to outside. Thus, amount of discharge current is reduced. By inducing discharge to an area between the electrodes, discharge generated in an area between the transparent electrodes is diffused. |
