<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical toner for electrostatic charge image developing narrow in particle diameter distribution. SOLUTION: This toner has a residual solvent amount of 1-500 ppm and a GSD value of 1-1.6 and a sphericity degree of 100-130 and a rope-formed particle content of 0-5 number % and a BET specific surface area of 0.5-3 m2/g. The method for manufacturing this toner comprises a process for dissolving or dispersing a binder resin and a colorant and a process for dispersing and suspending the obtained mixed liquid composition into an aqueous medium containing fine hydrophilic inorganic particles subjected to surface treatment and a process for removing the solvent from the obtained liquid suspension, and further, an ionic substance is added into the liquid suspension between the dispersing and suspending process and the process for removing the solvent.</p> |
