摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for estimating the bond site structure of the control element of gene, capable of further elucidating the transcription control by examining the internal structure of an enhancer or a promoter. SOLUTION: In estimating the bond site structure of the control element of a gene, a gene required to estimate the control structure of bond sites 12, 13 and 14 of a control element in an enhancer or a promoter 11 region to which a protein to be a transcription factor existing in the upstream or downstream of a coding region 15 encoding the gene is set. A calculation model having the genetic locus and other gene expression factors as parameters with respect to the bond sites 12, 13 and 14 of a control element participating in the gene or a control element to be hypothetically transduced introduced in the enhancer or the promoter 11 region is constructed. The amount of transcription of the gene is calculated by the constructed calculation model. The parameter of the calculation model is searched by using a parameter search algorithm so as to give the expression of the set gene obtained in an experiment and the microstructure of the enhancer or the promoter 11 is estimated.
