STEERING WHEEL SHOCK ABSORBER CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A steering wheel shock absober control system and a method are provided to absorb the shock when a driver crashes into a steering wheel in an accident. CONSTITUTION: A steering wheel shock absober control system and a method comprises: a steering wheel(10); a first shock sensor(12) to be mounted on the steering wheel and to detect shock quantity of a vehicle; a steering column(11) to be connected with the steering wheel; a shock absorbing device to be mounted on the steering shaft and to absorb a shock when a driver crashes into the steering wheel; a control part(21) to control the shock absorbing device when the first shock sensor detects more than a default value; where, the shock absorbing device consists of an actuator(14) and an a spring(13).
