OPENING AND CLOSING DEVICE FOR UPPER LID OF SHOWCASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start opening an upper lid to be turned upper backward for opening/closing an opening part on the upper surface of a body of showcase with a light force. SOLUTION: A vertically and longitudinally long first balancer 24 for energizing an upper lid 3 upward at the front position of a hinge 17 as the pivotal turning point of the upper lid 3 and a horizontally long second balancer 33 for energizing the upper lid upper backward at the front position of the first balancer 24 are arranged on inner surface sides at both the left and right side parts of a body 1. Since the arm of the rotary moment of the first balancer 24 is longer than that of the second balancer 33, even when the first balancer 24 is the gas spring of small energizing power, the upper lid 3 can be efficiently pushed up with a light operating force against the rotary moment of dead weight.
