PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate finish irregularities of cleaning and to improve a product yield by rotating a disk of a recording medium and pressurizing a running cleaning tape onto a disk surface by using a pressurizing jig which executes the pressurization by the gravity of a bob. SOLUTION: The disk 2 is installed vertically to a spindle 4 of a disk rotation mechanism 3, fixed by a chuck 5 and rotated. A tape feeding mechanism is disposed on both sides of the disk 2 and, during the cleaning, the cleaning tape 10a is fed to both surfaces of the disk 2. Pressurizing mechanisms 6a, 6b are provided with sliding bases 8a, 8b which are slidable back and forth toward the disk 2 on fixed pedestals 7a, 7b. The pressurizing jigs 11a, 11b which are disposed on top ends of linked supporing plates 9a, 9b pressurize the cleaning tape 10a onto the disk 2. A traction fiber 16 is hung over pulleys 13 which are disposed on both sliding bases 8a, 8b and energized by connecting the bob 15 to one end thereof.
