The invention relates to a method for radioactive decontamination of a steel wall and to a device which is used to carry out said method. The inventive method consists in bringing the wall which is to be decontaminated into contact with a stripping solution comprising a first iron-oxidation reactant, whereby a gas comprising a second oxidation reactant is directly and continuously added to the stripping solution.
