PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce man-hours required by the adjustment of wire tension for a parking brake. SOLUTION: In the parallel portions of loose brake wires 63 and 64, presciribed tension is given to the brake wires 63 and 63 by energizing them in the direction that a space between them is widened using a brake wire energizing jig 30 set up in a space between the brake wires 63 and 64. Next, when a wire tension adjustment mechanism 50 is so adjusted as to let tension be increased, the brake wires 63 and 64 are gradually tightened. In this case, a space is so devised as to be narrowed while being energized in the widening direction by constant force so as to let tension given to the brake wires 63 and 64 first be maintained. And when both the brake wires 63 and 64 are set up at a prescribed space, adjustment by the wire tension adjustment mechanism 50 is turned out to be over. |
