PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the negatively chargeable color toner freed of occurrence of photoreceptor fog in the case of a nonmagnetic single-component developing method in both of an early stage of printing and after printing and capable of obtaining a superior image. SOLUTION: This negatively chargeable color toner contains a binder resin containing polyester resin and a colorant and a charge controller and an external additive, and this charge controller contains the negatively chargeable charge controller in an amount of 0.5-5 pts.wt. to the binder resin 100 pts.wt. and a 0.01-2 pts.wt. % quarternary ammonium salt, and the above additive contains negatively chargeable fine inorganic particles and positively chargeable fine inorganic particles.
