A memory module reader (105) has a body (106) having a module socket (108). The module socket defines a cylindrical contact site (112) and a site axis (114). A terminal block (22) is joined to the body (106). The terminal block (22) includes a plurality of leads (34) and a cam unit (24) having at least one cam surface (104). The cam unit (24) is aligned with and biased toward the contact site (112). An assembly includes the memory module reader (105) and a memory module (12) removably retained in the module socket (108). The memory module (12) has a flexible support (50) and a memory element (52) fixed to the support (50).
