PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting metal and a structure of an external wall improving the efficiency of fitting works of an external facing material at site and provide a fitting method for the external facing material improving the work efficiency at site using this fitting metal. SOLUTION: A fitting metal 1 which fits an external facing material 3 to a wall body to be an external wall of a house in such a state as separated from the wall body by a prescribed distance is provided with a wall body fitting part 11 fitted to the wall body, an external facing wall fitting part 12 provided in the wall body fitting part 11 and fitting the external facing material separated from the wall body by a prescribed distance, and a superposed part 13 provided in the wall body fitting part 11 and superposed on the wall body fitting part 11 of the adjoining fitting metal 1.
