PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium having high recording sensitivity to a blue light, to provide the medium having a high recording sensitivity and good erasing characteristics and to further provide a high recording medium having good repeating characteristics and dealing with a light ray having a long wavelength region from a short wavelength region by providing high sensitivity, good erasing characteristics, and a large contrast. SOLUTION: A recording material for constituting a recording layer having a wavelength of 400 to 680 nm contains at least one element selected from group Ib of Au, Ag and Cu, at least one element selected from group IIIb of In, Ga and Al, at least one element selected from group Vb of Sb, Bi and N, and at least one element selected from group VIb of Se and Te as main components, and additionally at least one type of a compound selected from a chloride of Sb, Al oxide and oxides of Li and Nb. |
