PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a video signal and an audio signal while keeping continuity by outputting data including an error via a general-purpose interface even on the occurrence of an uncorrectable data error due to a recording position offset or the like on a hard disk unit or the like. SOLUTION: Uncorrectable data are replaced with a prescribed value and outputted from a general-purpose interface. A video signal processing section 91 connected to the general-purpose interface recognizes the replaced data as error data and applies interpolation and correction to the data. In the case of reproduction, data whose error correction is impossible are replaced with a fixed value on a hard disk unit 92. The data reproduced including the replaced data are outputted via the general-purpose interface. The video signal processing section 91 connected to the conventional interface applies signal processing to the fixed value data as the error data. Since the deterioration in the quality of the reproduced video image is suppressed and the hard disk unit 92 having the general-purpose interface is used, the cost of the device is low.
