PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a briquette heating device capable of operating an engine by using a briquette manufactured easily even in a place where fossil fuel such as petroleum cannot be obtained. SOLUTION: This device 10 heats a metallic member to be heated 15 storing other object to be heated or storing it not inside the member 15 by bringing it in close adhesion to a briquette 20 so as to bring them into face contact mutually. This device 10 is suitable for a heating device used in, particularly, a Stirling engine.
