PURPOSE: An encoder device for a national television service committee type television is provided to reduce the size of a read only memory by changing the storing order of data. CONSTITUTION: An encoder device for a national television service committee type television includes a phase counter(61), a sine wave ROM(63), a cosine wave ROM(64), an address separator/checker(62), a data recoverer(65), a first multiplier(66), a second multiplier(67), and a digital/analog converter(69). The phase counter(61) outputs shift counter. The sine wave ROM(63) combines the address of the sine wave(SINE) at 90° with a 1/2 address in groups, and stores a compensation value by extending low 1 bit. The cosine wave ROM(64) combines the address of the sine wave(SINE) at 90 degree. with a 1/2 address in groups, and stores a compensation value by extending low 1 bit. The address separator/checker(62) determines whether the least significant bit is an even bit or an odd bit. The data recoverer(65) compensates the data from the sine and cosine ROMs the first multiplier(66) and the second multiplier(67) multiplies recovered sine data with color signal(Cr) and recovered cosine data with a color signal(Cb), respectively.
