A fluid is introduced at high pressure into the profile for forming. The integral web (6) is aligned during the forming process, or immediately before or after forming of the profile. Both forming and aligning are carried out using the fluid, which may be subjected to high pressures. The web has integral pressure compensation bores (16), for pressure compensation between chambers (3,5) of multi-chambered hollow profiles (1). The web is loaded by metallic alignment elements (14,15), and these are charged by the fluid via elastomer elements (9,10). |
