PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch module which has an optical add-drop function, is small in electric power consumption, can be operated even at the time of service interruption, has excellent reliability and allows the extension of channels at need. SOLUTION: This optical switch module has a first demultiplexing section 10, a first multiplexing section 20, a second demultiplexing section 30, a second multiplexing section 40 and an optical switching section 50. The optical switching section 50 has an optical switch 51 having a first optical connector 52 provided with first and second pin holes for insertion and removal of optical fibers for through and optical fiber switching pins for optical add-drop and butt end faces to be joined to each other and a second optical connector 62. The optical switch modules simultaneously switches the plural first and second optical fibers for transmitting multiplexed signal light bidirectionally to light of plural wavelengths to the optical fibers for through or the optical fibers for optical add-drop. |
