PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric clippers of a suction type capable of collecting hair clipped in accordance with the length of hair to be clipped without being scattered and entangled. SOLUTION: The clipper is provided with a suction cylinder part 9 which opens near the blade of a clipper body 1 and the other end of which is connected to a suction hose. At the tip opening part 9A of the part 9, a suction cover for a head top part integrally provided with a all number of comb teeth at a suction port 17 and a suction cover 12 for verge clipping integrally provided with a large number of comb teeth 18' at a suction port 17' are selectively and detachably provided in the state of covering the blade body. Since the opening area of the second suction portion 17 is formed to be small, short hair on a verge is forced to be alligned by the second comb teeth 18' and clipped by the blade pressed by the upper end 17A' of the portion 17'. Since the frequency of clipped hair chips colliding with the teeth 18' is raised, the hair chips can immediately sucked into the portion 17' without being scattered.
