PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent browning of an image or discoloring of a medium to be recorded in various type temperature and humidity environment and to improve ink absorbency by incorporating singular or a plurality of types of a compound represented by the specific formula in the medium. SOLUTION: A cyclic nitrogen-containing compound represented by the formula I (wherein R is a hydrogen atom, an alkoxyl group which may contain a substituent, an alkyl group which may contain a substituent or an aryl group which may contain a substituent) and the formula II (wherein R1 is 1-20C alkyl group, R2 R3 R4 and R5 are each independently 1-3C alkyl group) is contained in the medium to be recorded. The medium may be constituted of a fibrous substance like paper or by providing an ink receiving layer on a base material like a coated sheet or a coated film. Thus, a stain, browning or discoloring of an image due to an aging change, or coloring (discoloring) of a white ground of the medium can be prevented. |
