PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bobbin winder for sewing machine for winding a bobbin thread on a bobbin always in a predetermined direction. SOLUTION: When a non-rotational bobbin 20 having a first flange part 21 and a second flange part 22 larger than the first flange part 21 in the outside diameter is mounted on a bobbin winder spindle 1 and the bobbin winder spindle 1 is turned, a bobbin thread is wound on the non-rotational bobbin 20 in a bobbin winder 10 for sewing machine. A pedestal 2, in which a recess part 2a provided with an inside diameter ranging between the outside diameters of the first and second flange parts 21, 22 is arranged on the upper face, is provided for regulating the mounting direction of the non-rotational bobbin 20 to the bobbin winder spindle 1 in the fix direction. A bobbin winder lever 3 is constructed so as to prevent the non-rotational bobbin 20 from advancing between the first and second flange parts 21, 22 if the bobbin 20 is mounted in the direction opposite to the fixed direction.
