METHOD OF MONITORING LIFT IN VERTICAL CARRIER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method of monitoring a lift in a vertical carrier system is provided to achieve reduced manufacturing cost for vertical carrier system and enhanced accuracy and stability of monitoring performance while allowing such monitoring in a software method. CONSTITUTION: A method of monitoring a lift in a vertical carrier system in which the lift is controlled by an acceleration phase, constant speed phase, and a deceleration phase from the start to the arrival, the method comprising the steps of calculating target movement time in accordance with the speed of the lift within the vertical carrier system; measuring an actual movement time of the lift, and warning of an abnormal operation of the lift if a difference between the target movement time and the actual movement time exceeds a predetermined limit time.
