PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder wherein effectiveness for cleaning a print head is enhanced and a frequency of replacing a filter and a cost are reduced. SOLUTION: An ink jet recorder comprises a controller 10, a print head 40 and a tube 50 which is provided between the controller 10 and print head 40 and is connected to an ink supplying pipe 28, a solvent supplying pipe 15, a nozzle pressure detecting pipe 30 and an ink/solvent collecting pipe 31. An organic solvent for dissolving ink is stored in a supply solvent tank 11 and is conveyed through the solvent supply pipe 15 for cleaning a nozzle 44. Ink stored in an ink tank 23 is conveyed to the nozzle 44 through the ink supplying pipe 28. A filter 41a for ink and a filter 41b for solvent are independently disposed in a manifold 42 of the print head 40. |
