<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject dryer free from any solidification accelerating effect before printing and exhibiting the effect after the printing by discharging a dryer by using a metallic soap salt enveloped with a microgel comprising a material having a specific property as a dryer. SOLUTION: This dryer for a printing ink uses a metallic soap salt enveloped by a microgel comprising a material insoluble in an organic solvent [preferably a material generating a sol-gel transition by a temperature variation or in the presence of a cation, e.g. agarose (agar-agar), agaropectin or the like] as a dryer for the printing ink. As a method for producing the dryer for the printing ink, e.g. a material insoluble in an organic solvent is made to 0.5-25% aqueous solution and an ink dryer for printing is added to the solution, then stirred and gradually dropped into an organic solvent warmed at about 80 deg.C, then stirred to form a liquid drop sol of an inorganic solvent-insoluble material containing a dryer, thus a temperature is lowered until the system is completely gelled while stirring.</p> |
