摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide with a simple structure a device for suppressing the output voltage of a solar cell capable of suppressing the output voltage at low load. SOLUTION: In a photovoltaic power generating system 12, which converts a DC power from solar cells 14 into on AC power with an inverter 16 for supplying power to a load 24 and which is connected to a commercial power system 20, an output voltage suppressing device 10 comprises a transistor 32 connected in parallel to the solar cells between the cells and the inverter 16, a Zener diode 34 which is connected to the base of the transistor 32 and turned on in the range of 280 to 300 V, for example, to switch on the transistor 32, and resistors 36, 38 each connected to the collector and emitter of the transistor 32. This structure makes it unnecessary to secure unwanted withstand voltage at low load and facilitates designing of the photovoltaic power generating system 12. Also, the operation range of the solar cells 14 can be made smaller, and the tracking of the maximum power point can be controlled easily.
