PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM transmitter by which a peak level in a signal waveform generated by multi-carrier modulation is suppressed and transmission with sufficiently higher reliability can be obtained, without giving a margin to a signal processing level. SOLUTION: In this orthogonal frequency division multiplex modulation signal transmitter which adapts a system that uses a plurality of carriers with different frequencies to transmit a digital signal, a transmitter side TX inserts a plurality of non-data carriers arranged in a form of a prescribed pattern among carriers and is provided with a plurality of (4 sections) IFFT sections 33-1 to 33-4 for adding non-data carriers each of which makes the patterns different. A control circuit 35 detects the output of them whose peak level is minimum and gives the result to a selection circuit 36, which outputs the signal with a minimum peak level and transmits it to a receiver side RX.
