PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a uniform film on an inner surface of a straight circular tube in a filming method comprising a coating process for coating an inner surface of a tube with a viscous suspension and a drying process for drying a coating solution while the coating solution is gravitationally flowing down. SOLUTION: A straight circular tube 1 is held substantially vertically, a viscous suspension 2 is injected into the tube, then an inner surface of the tube 1 is coated therewith while the thickness of the liquid is controlled in the vertical direction by controlling the discharge speed by the use of an orifice. While the coated tube 1 is held substantially vertically and its outer circumference is heated by a heater or the like under control, hot air is blown from an upper- end opening of the tube into the interior of the tube with its temperature and speed controlled by a hot-air producing device, the gravitational flow-down speed is controlled while the applied liquid is dried, and the distribution of film thicknesses after drying is controlled.
