<p>PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to achieve clearly different cooling mode and dry mode and convert operation modes and blowing by a single switch element such as a rotary switch, thereby reducing manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a blowing fan(34), a fan motor(46) for driving the blowing fan and capable of converting a rotation number in a plurality of steps, and a thermo switch(56) to be turned on or off according to a comparison result between a preset temperature and a detected temperature, wherein a compressor(14) is driven according to the turning on or off of the thermo switch and simultaneously a rotation number of the fan motor is set to any other rotation numbers rather than a lowest rotation number in a first mode, and the compressor is driven according to the turning on or off of the thermo switch and simultaneously the fan motor is driven by the lowest rotation number by continuous turning on and off of the thermo switch in a second mode.</p> |
