BAD FRAME DETECTOR AND TURBO DECODER

PURPOSE: A bad frame detector and turbo decoder is provided to convert the threshold of a bad frame detector by using the information under discontinuous transmission status. CONSTITUTION: A bad frame detector and turbo decoder includes the following components. An error redundancy detector for window in receiver which can be activated under discontinuous transmission status. A soft decision decoder(210) outputs window error signals and generates soft output. A detector(214) is connected to a soft decision decoder(210) in order to detect bad frame which window error exceeds the bad frame threshold. A threshold is converted based on the discontinuous transmission mode. A turbo recorder for receivers(210) is connected to a soft decision decoder(210). A window error detector(214) is connected to a soft decision decoder(210). A window error detector(214) generates bad frame signals. The device prevents redundancy in data processing irrelevant to the window when window error detector detects.
