Process for obtaining a decorative design on a glass surface

Creating a design on a glass substrate comprises: (a) depositing (i) mineral particles and a heat-sensitive and/or photosensitive resin on one surface of the substrate; (b) heating and/or illuminating certain areas of the substrate to crosslink the polymer; (c) removing material from areas that have not been heated and/or illuminated; and (d) heat-treating the substrate. Creating a design on a glass substrate comprises: (a) depositing (i) mineral particles including one or more glass frits and (ii) a heat-sensitive and/or photosensitive resin including a photosensitive crosslinkable polymer on one or more zones on one surface of the substrate; (b) heating and/or illuminating certain areas of the substrate to crosslink the polymer; (c) removing material from areas that have not been heated and/or illuminated; and (d) subjecting the substrate to one or more heat-treatment cycles, especially to fix the mineral particles.
