PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match the reference of time between a caller and a callee even if different time is displayed. SOLUTION: A portable telephone set 51 having a time display mechanism is provided with a timer start input part 12 inputting the start of timer, a timer termination input part 12 inputting the termination of timer and a control part 5 controlling a time display mechanism so that lapse time is displayed while timer start input is used as a start point and time from the input of timer start to the input of timer termination is displayed.
