PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain pipe displaying sufficient discharge capacity even when a large drainage gradient is not obtained by the conditions of the execution of works. SOLUTION: The drain pipe P is formed in an approximately equilateral triangular cross section, and at least the internal surfaces of each top section 1 are formed in curved surfaces 2. The flowing of drain is smoothed by forming the internal surfaces of each top section 2 in the curved surfaces 2 at that time, and scale is difficult to adhere. The arbitrary top section 1 can be arranged at a lowermost place by forming the cross section in the equilateral triangle. The transportability of solid bodies is increased because a large water level can be ensured even in case of the small flow rate of drain by forming the bottom section of the drain pipe in an approximately V-shaped sectional form, floor height is inhibited at a low value and ceiling height can be heightened because required discharge capacity can be assured even when a large drainage gradient is difficult to give, and a living space is expanded.
