PURPOSE: A method for extending a subscriber receiving capacity in a subscriber interface, is provided to register only subscribers in a connection, and not to register operation/maintenance(OAM) connection information to subscribers, so that a subscriber receiving capacity of a connection table, can be extended. CONSTITUTION: A method for extending a subscriber receiving capacity in a subscriber interface, comprises the steps of: registering just subscriber information by forming a table for registering subscribers; deciding registration of the subscribers and a cell connection type, by use of a virtual route identifier of an input cell; and transmitting by recording operation/maintenance(OAM) information of the registered subscribers on a header error control field of a corresponded cell.
