PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with an environmental problem and also to prevent the occurrences of the deterioration of image quality and the other nonconformity. SOLUTION: A recognition label 44 is stuck on the upper surfaces (the upper surface 43 of the toner hopper 25 of an image forming unit 42 in this example) of consumables freely attachably/detachably attached to a device main body 1. The recognition label 44 is made of thermosensitive paper, and the characters of 'a company name' registered as a trade mark are printed as a logo. The logo of the recognition label is read by a logo reading sensor 32, and it is informed to a controlling device whether the logo is normal or not. The controlling device executes printing when the logo is normal, and when it is abnormal, it informs as abnormal consumables without executing the printing. A thermal head 33 is driven when the lives of normal consumables end, and the entire or a part of the logo of the recognition label 44 is color-developed in black, so that the consumables are prevented from being recognized as normal products. A normal recognition label is changed and stuck when it is reproduced by filling genuine toner or exchanging a genuine photoreceptive drum. |
