PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound having tris(diphenyl phosphinomethyl) methylene group as a conjugated tridentate chelate on the surface of a specific polymer, easily impregnated with transition metals, useful for a fixed molecular catalyst for several reactions. SOLUTION: The compound expressed by the formula R1 is a coupling group, carbonyl or the like; a group C[R2P(R3)2]3 is a triphos part; R2 is methylene or the like; R3 is an alkyl, phenyl or the like; polymer is a polystyrene, a polyvinylpyridine or the like} is obtained. The polymer of this compound has an aromatic ring 1 preferably having one or more substituting groups such as an alkyl, formyl, an alkylcarbonyl, an alkoxy, hydroxy, amino, nitro or the like and their esters or amides. The preferable polymer is a graft polymer or a block polymer.
